Warlock #9-15 Marvel (1975-76) Jim Starlin Cosmic Classic Thanos 7-Issue Set

Warlock #9–15 (1975–1976)—Seven Original Bronze Age Marvel Comics Featuring Jim Starlin’s Landmark Cosmic Run.

What if the greatest threat to the universe was the person you were destined to become?

Jim Starlin made that question the heart of his reinvention of Adam Warlock—and helped change the course of Marvel’s cosmic storytelling.

Offered here are seven original Bronze Age Marvel comics: Warlock #9–15, the consecutive run carrying Starlin’s visionary work from Strange Tales into Warlock’s own title.

This is superhero storytelling pushed into stranger, darker territory. Warlock faces the Magus, his own corrupted future self and the ruler of the Universal Church of Truth. His struggle becomes a battle against destiny itself, with freedom, identity, and the possibility of escaping a monstrous future hanging in the balance.

Even Warlock’s greatest weapon carries a terrible cost. The soul-consuming Infinity Stone on his forehead makes power a moral burden, blurring the line between salvation and destruction. Starlin brings these conflicts to life through psychedelic imagery, cosmic spectacle, unsettling ideas, and sharp satire.

Thanos, Gamora, and Pip the Troll are integral to this unfolding cosmic world. But the enduring appeal goes beyond familiar names: these are formative chapters in the storytelling tradition that would eventually lead to The Infinity Gauntlet.

For the collector, this set brings together all seven issues of Starlin’s original Warlock title run, including the expanded origins of Thanos and Gamora in #10 and the first appearances of the In-Betweener and Star-Thief. For the reader, it offers an essential piece of Marvel’s most ambitious Bronze Age storytelling—in its original comic-book form.
